I have been in Hairdressing since 2011 and have always been absolutely obsessed with all things hair. I love a challenge and really thrive when I’m helping clients with full cut and colour transformations.

I love colour and creating individualised and unique cuts and styles. Photographic work is really fun and like creating unusual and avant-garde looks.

I am passionate about providing clients with quality colour and products while delivering professional polished services.

Operations Manager / Owner

Having worked in Operations Management and Senior Executive roles for most of my career, I am relishing the opportunity to utilise these skills in our own successful salon business.

Working with our amazing team of stylists to ensure that every client receives the highest levels of customer service during their experience at Mats Hair Factory while ensuring the team are fully supported is my number one priority everyday.

I am so fortunate to be surrounded by the best stylists in the business who are so creative, hard working and dedicated to their profession.

In my home country Canada, I have 15 years experience in the hairdressing industry.

I joined the Mats Hair Factory team in 2017. I really love the connection i get when working with clients.

I am motivated by ensuring that every client leaves feeling fantastic and armed with the right products to help maintain and style their hair at home.

I love all areas of hairdressing but if i had to choose some favourites I’d say cutting Mens Hair, Short Hair and love Special Occasion Up Styling.

My name is Karoline but most people call me Kaz. I've been hairdressing for almost 15 years and ever since I can remember I've always had a thing for hair. Either doing my friends or constantly changing my own.

I love making my clients feel beautiful and confident, as well as creating long lasting relationships.

There are so many things I love about hairdressing, but the one thing I'm renowned for is creating beautiful dimensional colours, blonding and high impact blonding as well as wedding styling and men’s fades.

Senior Stylist

I have been hairdressing for 18 years, but hair has been my passion since I was a little girl. I knew what I wanted to be from a young age.

I completed my apprenticeship at a local salon and have been working with MHF since 2020. I competed in competitions as an apprentice and represented Victoria in a National Competition for Hairdressing.

I strive to continually further my skills in advanced haircutting or colouring courses.

My main goal in every consultation is to really listen to a client and aim to achieve what they are asking, as well as giving my professional advice.

Recently I have taken on the role of Salon mentor and trainer to our apprentices and junior stylists to compliment their training. Watch out for our Friday specials with our Junior stylists where I will be fully overseeing all their work.

Junior Stylist

Zara started her hairdressing career at MHF in January 2024 and is already kicking big goals working with a variety of regular and new clients.

Zara is already colouring, tinting, partial foiling and cutting.

She has mastered blow waving and styling.

She is offering discounted rates for new clients and has our inhouse mentor and senior stylist Cassie supervising her work to ensure her clients leave the salon with exceptional results.

In her spare time Zara excels in sporting activities such as basketball, swimming, taekwondo and many more.

Senior Stylist

I began hairdressing on the quest to bring out people’s inner beauty. I love being creative and giving people that bounce in their step. I have been in the industry for 7 years. I’m a bit of an all rounder, while I love cutting and styling, I also enjoy creating colour transformations, colour correction, blonding and high impact blondes.

In my spare time i like to spend time with my beautiful family and friends and am always down for a good adventure . I grew as up in Lakes Entrance and I loveee the beach! I also enjoy dancing, you’ll often find me bopping along to tunes or singing in my car. Overall I believe everyone should have the chance to feel confident and good about themselves which plays a big role in why I chose this career!

In my spare time I enjoy gardening, arts and crafts, adventuring and dancing. If I had the right opportunities I would love to further myself in dance but since coming to Mats hair factory my career path has been set in stone.

Coming from an artistic family I feel like hair dressing really helps me show my personality and individual flare.

Emily has been working at MHF since January 2022.

I am so passionate about the hairdressing industry and love working with clients to create impactful colour result. I am known for my blonding and high impact blonde results but also focusing on clients haircare routines.

I love creating cool fades and styles for our male clients.
